Fans reacted to Joe Rogan discussing the rumors of the UFC potentially paying Jon Jones $30 million to fight Tom Aspinall.
In November 2024, Jones successfully defended his heavyweight world title for the first time with a third-round knockout against Stipe Miocic. Questions immediately emerged from the MMA community about what's next for Jones, as fans want to see him fight Aspinall, while he claimed he wants to face Alex Pereira.
Aspinall is the interim UFC heavyweight champion, making him the more logical opponent for Jones. With that said, 'Bones' has claimed he wants a massive payday to face the English heavyweight in a unification title fight.
Episode #2249 of The Joe Rogan Experience was released earlier this week featuring Yannis Pappas and Chris Distefano. Pappas asked Rogan about who Jones will fight next and received the following response:

"I think it's going to be [Tom] Aspinall. I think they're trying to come to some sort of an agreement. The rumor is that [Jon Jones] wants $30 million and the UFC is going to pay him, hopefully."
The footage of Rogan's comments was re-posted on X, leading to the following reactions from fans:
"Pay the man. If anyone in the history of the UFC deserves that purse it’s Jones in my opinion"
"Jon deserves 50 to be honest, at least more than Mcgrevor ever had."
"Jon Jones deserves every penny to fight Aspinall..UFC312.."
"I'm sure Turki will pay quadruple that to have the fight in Saudi Arabia."

Jon Jones is looking forward to more accomplishments in 2025
Jon Jones only fought once in 2024, closing an important chapter in his fighting career against Stipe Miocic. Heading into 2025, the UFC heavyweight champion doesn't plan on slowing down when it comes to creating history, which he explained with the following message on X:
"It feels amazing to look back at the last year and make a list of achievements like that. I’m sure if I spent more time on it, I’d realize just how many things I left out. Now, I’m excited to start writing down some New Year’s resolutions and even more excited to see the list of things I accomplish after 2025."
In November 2023, Jon Jones pulled out of his original date with Stipe Miocic due to a torn pectoral muscle. As a result, Tom Aspinall received the short-notice opportunity to defeat Sergei Pavlovich for the interim heavyweight title. Aspinall has since defended his strap with a first-round knockout against Curtis Blaydes.
