On episode #2165 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan couldn't stop himself from lauding 'Peaky Blinders' and 'The Gentlemen,' with the former being one of the most critically acclaimed TV series in recent years. While talking to guest Jack Carr, the UFC commentator praised both shows.

Rogan revealed that he had just started watching both shows, and was stunned by the viewing experience. He said:

"I just started watching Peaky Blinders. F**king great! It's f**king great! I burned through The Gentlemen, which is Guy Ritchie's new show on Netflix, which is amazing. It's f**ing great! Prime Guy Ritchie. It's great."
"And then, a lot of friends have been telling me, 'You got to watch Peaky Blinders,' and Jamie keeps telling me I got to watch The Wire, and that's next. The Wire's next, but I got to get through Peaky Blinders. Peaky Blinders is fu*ing great."

It marks one of the many things Rogan is fascinated with besides martial arts and fitness. The longtime UFC commentator has had a variety of guests on his podcast, which has led to him developing an interest in countless different topics.

He infamously adopted a carnivore diet after a conversation with controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson, who has appeared on his podcast before, with the two conversing about several topics.

However, his deep interest in Peaky Blinders and The Gentlemen is curious, given how often he derides contemporary media.

Joe Rogan is also an actor

Joe Rogan's appreciation for Peaky Blinders and The Gentlemen may very well be strengthened by his familiarity with acting. While it's often an oft-forgotten trade of his, Rogan is also an actor, not just a martial artist and MMA commentator. Back in 2015, he appeared as himself on an episode of 'Silicon Valley.'

Check out Rogan on 'Hardball':

Additionally, he has played the role of Frank Valente on 90s sitcom Hardball, and Joe Garrelli on another 90s sitcom, NewsRadio. He also made a guest appearance on MADtv and most famously served as the host of Fear Factor.
