Henry Cejudo recently lauded Cris Cyborg for being one of the most successful female fighters in combat sports.

Cyborg is considered to be the only fighter in MMA history to hold world titles in four major MMA promotions. Cyborg won the Bellator women's featherweight championship in January 2020 and has successfully defended the title four times in the years since.

Cyborg is also a former world featherweight champion of the UFC, Strikeforce, and Invicta FC. Cyborg is considered the only MMA fighter in history, male or female, to become a Grand Slam Champion.

Soon after becoming a free agent, the Brazilian-American fighter made her boxing debut against Simone Silva this September, winning via decision in Curitiba, Brazil.

Watch Cyborg's win over Silva:

In an interview with Cyborg that was uploaded to his YouTube channel, former two-division champ Henry Cejudo praised the 37-year-old female fighter for not bending to the will of powerful MMA promotions:

"I like it! It's Cris Cyborg, the business. You mentioned something to me in the household where there was like you're gonna be offered X amount of money from the UFC and you're like, 'No, I'm gonna win all this. I'm worth more than that. I don't want that type of money because I don't want to just be famous and not have money. Take a bunch of damn pictures.'"

Cejudo added:

"So, I commend you for the simple fact that you are going to a different sport. You're taking that leap of faith and going to different promotions. People don't have that courage Cris."

Henry Cejudo wants interim bantamweight title fight against Sean O'Malley; dismisses Aljamain Sterling's latest title defense

In the latest edition of The Triple C & Schmo Show, former two-division champion Henry Cejudo seemed interested in a comeback fight against No.1-ranked bantamweight Sean O'Malley.

Interestingly, Cejudo dismissed 'Funk Master's recent second-round TKO win over Dillashaw as the former champ had injured his shoulder early in the fight. Claiming O'Malley's win over Yan to be more convincing, Henry Cejudo said:

"I think we exit out Aljemix [Aljamain Sterling]. He's talking about taking a break till mid-June or something. He beat a dude that was handicapped. Talk about hate crime on a handicapped guy. You know he beat a damn gimp. But I think if the UFC and Sean [O'Malley], they wanna do it, why don't we do an interim? Nobody believes that Sean [O'Malley] beat Petr Yan. I think that would be the best thing for the division to move along."
