Conor McGregor's involvement in BKFC represents the next permutation of the promotion growing according to one of their more grassroots competitors. Appearing on a recent episode of Bare Knuckle Bowker, Jared Warren covered several subjects ahead of his championship defense later this week.
That contest in question is against former interim BKFC light heavyweight champion Mike Richman at BKFC on DAZN 3 which transpires on Dec. 21. As someone who started with the promotion at BKFC 8, 'Captain Deadpool' has seen the company consistently level up, and one up themselves along their journey.
The reigning BKFC light heavyweight champion mentioned on BKB that he missed out on a chance to meet McGregor at BKFC Spain after dealing with several hurricane-related issues Warren faced. Speaking to the idea of McGregor becoming a partial owner of BKFC representing the company vaulting to a new tier, Warren said:
"I think getting Conor McGregor on board was awesome. You know, there's not a lot of people who doesn't know who he is. People have different opinions about him but at the end of the day, man, everything that the guy touches turns to gold. So why would you not want him on your team? So yeah, man. It's pretty cool."

Conor McGregor responds to historically fast BKFC KO
Conor McGregor is someone who is tangibly energetic about the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship product and it comes across in how he discusses the game of gloveless combat. This came across yet again recently when McGregor reacted to a record-setting knockout at BKFC 69.
The 36-year-old was in awe earlier this month seeing Justin Watson put the lights out on Cole Ferrell less than three seconds into their fight. McGregor shared the finish on his Instagram story and indicated his amazement at seeing the world's fastest KO transpire in the promotion he has an ownership stake in.
'The Notorious' has consistently shown his enthusiasm for the BKFC product on his social media platforms. McGregor has also been seen live at several BKFC events since his ownership involvement was publically announced in April.
The Dublin native has even stated that he wants to be a player/ manager which means McGregor wants to have a bare-knuckle boxing bout at some point in time. However, if the former UFC champ champ has his way, McGregor could be donning the big gloves next to throw down with a former titleholder in the WWE.
