UFC commentator Laura Sanko recently voiced her disappointment with X (formerly Twitter), expressing concern over its negative impact, particularly on children.
In a candid post on social media, Sanko lamented the platform's overwhelming negativity and lack of control over content:
"X has become a place I don’t spend much time anymore. People literally making up stuff about things I never said. I see very little positive. Just every depravity occurring on earth at your fingertips. It’s overwhelming. I think awareness is important. I think this platform is important. I just wish I could filter my timeline to be what I want."

Sanko’s comment prompted a response from a fan who criticized X’s algorithm, stating it rewards trolls and promotes disturbing content. Sanko agreed, highlighting her concerns about how easily children could access harmful material on the platform:
"Yah it’s the latter that freaks me out. I remember when the internet was brand new and you would have to go out of your way down dark paths to find this type of stuff. My son doesn’t have social media or a phone but how easy for a kid to access this place and see things NO ONE should be exposed to? Why???"
When Laura Sanko revealed what made her a fan of Shavkat Rakhmonov
UFC broadcaster Laura Sanko once revealed her admiration for rising welterweight star Shavkat Rakhmonov during an episode of One on One. Known for her keen insights, Sanko shared how the Kazakh fighter’s style and enigmatic persona captivated her from the beginning of his UFC career.
Sanko explained that Rakhmonov’s primal fighting approach left a lasting impression:
"That's why I wanted to make a big deal out of him and be very big in how I spoke about him... And when I said, 'He gave me chills', he does give me chills... There's something very primal about the way that he fights... The way that he operates and then when you couple that with the fact he doesn't talk and he doesn't speak a lick of English, there's a mystery there and it's just really cool."
