A recent Instagram post from Amanda Ribas showcased, that she has landed in Las Vegas, for her next encounter against Mackenzie Dern. Ribas' post featured a collection of snaps, both solo and with her team after her touchdown in Vegas.
Ribas and Dern are all set to headline the first event of the New Year on Jan. 11. Ribas actively competes in both the strawweight and flyweight divisions of the UFC. However, the Brazilian isn't on the best of her runs currently as she holds a 2-2 record in her last four UFC fights.
Ribas tried her luck at flyweight in her previous fight. However, she endured a unanimous decision defeat against the former strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas, who currently fights at flyweight.
Ribas would be coming down to strawweight again for her upcoming fight against Dern at UFC Vegas 101. She looked in a gala mood along with three other team members in the snaps she posted to her Instagram after landing in Vegas. One of them showcased her in a building with glass windows at her back, which gave a beautiful view of the city. The caption of Ribas' post read:

Amanda Ribas will hope to repeat her previous performance against Mackenzie Dern in the upcoming fight
Amanda Ribas and Mackenzie Dern are pretty evenly matched regarding the results of their last four UFC encounters. Both of them hold a 2-2 record in them. However, Dern will take the octagon on Jan. 11 with higher spirits as she earned a victory in his last fight against Loopy Godinez.
However, Ribas also holds a mental edge over her rival as she got the better of Dern in their first encounter. The two locked horns in a main card fight of UFC Fight Night 161 on Oct. 12, 2019.
Ribas earned a convincing unanimous decision victory with 30-27 scores on all three judges's scorecards. Needless to say, she will be hoping for a similar or even better performance on the night of Jan. 11.
