Amanda Ribas was last seen in the octagon against Rose Namajunas in March 2024. She lost by a unanimous decision to the former UFC strawweight champion and is now preparing for the upcoming fight.

Ribas posted a series of pictures on her Instagram that gave a glimpse of her preparation for the Mackenzie Dern showdown.

The duo locked horns in their first meeting in 2019. The 31-year-old Brazilian outclassed the Brazilian-American to win by a unanimous decision. The two UFC female strawweight fighters will take each other on in a second showdown at UFC Vegas 101.

Expressing her gratitude while preparing, Ribas posted multiple pictures from the UFC PI with a short caption:

Amanda Ribas reveals her opinion on taking on Mackenzie Dern fight

Amanda Ribas and Mackenzie Dern have already crossed paths with each other in the past in 2019 and are braced to face each other for the second time.

Having spent a considerable time in the company, both are yet to get the opportunity for the strawweight title. In an interview with Sherdog, the 31-year-old Brazilian revealed the reason for taking up the Dern fight for the second time after defeating her already:

"This fight is really important for me and for her because we already fought against Virna [Jandiroba]. She is No. 3, so for me, in my mind, if I win this fight, I can go to another fight and then to the belt. So it's real important."

While shedding light on how she expects Dern to be in the fight, she further said:

"I know we are both different fighters. I saw that she's getting better in boxing, so I can expect her faster. I am different too. We're working really hard."
