Freshly retired former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic appears to be enjoying his retirement with his family this Yuletide season. Miocic, widely regarded as the greatest UFC heavyweight champion of all time, hung up his gloves immediately after his fight at UFC 309 last month.
Despite being undeniably disappointed with the result, the American fighter of Croatian descent appeared to have taken it well and it shows in his recent photos with his family on Instagram.
The caption of Miocic's post read:
"Merry Christmas🎄🎅"

Stipe Miocic retires after Jon Jones fight at UFC 309
Stipe Miocic broke a three-year hiatus by returning to action at UFC 309 last month. Challenging for the UFC heavyweight title held by Jon Jones, the former two-time heavyweight king looked to make history once again.
The two were supposed to meet a year prior but the fight had to be postponed after Jones suffered an injury in training. Instead of taking on another opponent, Miocic elected to wait it out until Jones healed.
Unfortunately for the 42-year-old, he was TKO'd by the consensus GOAT with a spinning backkick in the third round. After the fight, Miocic spoke to Joe Rogan and provided his thoughts on the fight:
"It sucked *ss. I got lost. He's tough. I knew he's going to be good. One of the best of all time. Came strong. Hard kicks, you know. All good. Just that spinning kick we worked on. Just blocking [but he] caught me in the ribs...I expected everything. I just didn't do what I was supposed to do. Congratulations to him. He did what he's supposed to and he won. Hats off to him."
When asked what's next in his career, Miocic gave a rather definitive answer:
"I'm done. I'm hanging them up. I'm retiring. Thanks, guys."
