Islam Makhachev shared pictures with Gadzhi Rabadanov following his PFL 10 win over Brent Primus. With the victory, Rabadanov became the 2024 PFL Lightweight Tournament winner.
Makhachev, the UFC lightweight champion, is a longtime associate and teammate of Rabadanov from the Nurmagomedov MMA School. In a recent Instagram post, he praised Rabadanov for his recent achievement and shared several pictures of them together. The caption to the post read:
"Congratulations brother @gadzhi_rabadanov. I think in this Grand Prix you're just beginning to reach your potential... And now a well-deserved rest."

The PFL 10 event was held at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Nov. 29. In Round 3 of their fight, Rabadanov hurt Primus with a left hook and knocked him down with overhand rights to the head. After a follow-up strike, the referee intervened to stop the contest.

With the victory, Rabadanov extended his win streak to 10. He is now 24-4-2 in his professional MMA career.
In the headlining bout of the PFL 10 event, fellow Russian mixed martial artist Timur Khizriev defeated Brendan Loughnane to win the 2024 PFL Featherweight Tournament.

Gadzhi Rabadanov became the latest addition to the list of champions produced by Nurmagomedov MMA School named after Khabib Nurmagomedov's late father and legendary coach Abdulamanap Nurmagomedov.
After Islam Makhachev captured the UFC lightweight title in October 2022, Usman Nurmagomedov followed in his footsteps, winning the Bellator lightweight championship in November of that year.
With Rabadanov winning the 2024 PFL Lightweight Tournament, Nurmagomedov MMA School now has a reigning champion in all three major MMA promotions in the USA - UFC, PFL, and Bellator. Another ranked contender from the camp, Umar Nurmagomedov, is also in the mix for the UFC bantamweight championship.
