MMA journalist suggests Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul could restore McGregor’s public image
MMA journalist Donagh Corby has weighed in on the rumored boxing exhibition between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul, suggesting the matchup could be a strategic move to revitalize McGregor's public image.
While no official details have been confirmed, including the date or venue, the prospect of the bout has divided fans, with some expressing disappointment, as they hoped for McGregor’s return to MMA action.
Corby, however, believes the fight could be a marketing masterstroke. Speaking on The Craic, he said:
"It's massive, Logan Paul is more famous than Jake, any metric you look at he's got more followers...If there's a way to make Conor McGregor a babyface again, if there's a way for him to turn it around, it's to have him fight Logan Paul. [He's] one of the only less pallitable people to the general public [than McGregor]...It's also a super winnable fight for Conor. It's absolutely huge...If they make it happen, it will be as big as Jake and Mike Tyson."
