Paige VanZant is set for her sophomore slap-fighting bout next Thursday, Oct. 24 at Power Slap 9. Ahead of the event, VanZant took to Instagram to share a series of pictures of herself, alongside her husband, Austin Vanderford, who has an MMA fight set for tonight in the LFA.
She captioned the post with a message of support for herself and her husband, as their bout dates are fairly close. However, the most notable feature of her post is the exceptional physical condition VanZant seems to be in.

Naturally, as has historically been the case with VanZant, her pictures drew a wave of fan attention, with several comments praising her for her physical fitness.
"Nice abs Paige!!"
Similar sentiments were echoed by another comment.
"Those abs"
Some even threw their support behind her husband ahead of his LFA fight.
"Austin is going to destroy that dude!"
However, the majority of the comments were focused on VanZant's physique.
"I see that six pack @paigevanzant"

Both VanZant and Vanderford initially made their careers as mixed martial artists. While VanZant has since gone down a different path in her combat sports run, Vanderford is still an MMA fighter but has found himself on the first rough patch of his career. After an undefeated 11-0 run, he went on a two-fight losing streak.
This led to his departure from Bellator, and he is now set to face Victor Romero at LFA 194.
Paige VanZant's combat sports history
Paige VanZant has competed in a wide range of combat sports. Initially, she was a mixed martial artist, who the UFC hoped would become a crossover star akin to the great Ronda Rousey. Unfortunately, the aforementioned expectations were unrealistic, as VanZant went 8-5 before transitioning to bare-knuckle boxing.
She signed with BKFC but failed to win a single bout, going 0-2. Thereafter, she had a brief stint as a pro wrestler, making several appearances in AEW. However, perhaps motivated by a desire for legitimate competition, she dipped her toe in the influencer boxing world, facing Elle Brooke, and fighting her to a draw.

This rendered VanZant winless in all combat sports since 2019. Finally, though, her losing streak was broken on June 28, 2024, at Power Slap 8, with her new career as a slap-fighter yielding a win over Christine Volmarans.
