Jon Jones made an appearance as a guest at Mike Perry’s inaugural fighting promotion event, Dirty Boxing Championship, just a week after defending his UFC heavyweight title against former two-time champion Stipe Miocic on Nov. 16 at UFC 309.
The Dirty Boxing Championship took place in Miami, Florida, a few days ago and was headlined by Yoel Romero and Duane Crespo. The event featured a total of eight fights. As the co-founder of the promotion, Perry shared snapshots from the event on his Instagram, including a photo of himself with Jones, captioning:
“Chief violence officer @dirtyboxingofficial Very proud of my team who brought something special to the industry and we can’t wait to share it with the world! Thank you all for the love & support!”

Tom Aspinall shares an update on negotiations for a fight with Jon Jones
Ever since becoming the interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall has been calling out Jon Jones for a title unification bout. However, Jones seems to be avoiding the fight, claiming in several interviews leading up to UFC 309 that Aspinall hasn't done anything significant.
Despite Jones' stance, UFC CEO Dana White was asked about a potential Jones vs. Aspinall matchup in the pre-fight press conference of UFC 309. White responded by stating that Jones should fight Aspinall to unify the titles.
Now, the interim champion has revealed on his YouTube channel that a potential fight against Jon Jones is currently in negotiations, saying:
“Yeah, we’re in negotiations right now. That’s the honest answer, So, we don’t know when the fight is going to be, but I’ll be ready to go whenever. I’m back in the gym now. I’m back in the gym training, as always. I’ll be ready to fight when they let me know. Until then, I’ll be improving, I’ll be getting better. So, no great rush on that. Obviously, I want to fight as soon as possible. But, right now, we’re just waiting on a date. That’s it.”
