Israel Adesanya is enjoying his time away from the octagon but isn't allowing his vacationing to get in the way of his training. On a recent trip to Colombia for a wedding, Adesanya stayed active, engaging in numerous activities, including a sparring session.

Furthermore, he also enjoyed himself at a wedding among friends, sharing pictures of his time in Colombia via an Instagram collage. He punctuated the collage with the 'Chill Guy' meme that's been taking social media by storm.

One of the most noteworthy revelations of his collage was that he crossed paths with former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, who was also in Colombia.

Whether it was due to both men training together or Edwards simply bumping into them by sheer coincidence is unknown.

Check out the post below:

Adesanya is currently enjoying his down time but is determined to continue fighting, despite no longer dominating the middleweight title scene. As a two-champion, he is grateful for the moment he had under the sun but is now more exciting about simply fighting and performing.

This was the rhetoric behind his most recent outing against Dricus du Plessis, who defeated him via fourth-round submission at UFC 305. While Adesanya gave a good account of himself, he ultimately lost.

The UFC has not released any news regarding Adesanya's next opponent. However, a matchup with rising middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov has been reported for the event in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 1, 2025.

Israel Adesanya has struggled in the octagon as of late

Israel Adesanya spent the better part of his career as an undefeated fighter, running through the UFC middleweight division in a manner reminiscent of Anderson Silva in his prime.

Unfortunately for the Nigerian-New Zealander, he began to slow down and has found himself enduring a rough patch.

He is currently 1-3 in his last four fights, having suffered two back-to-back losses in middleweight title fights, the first to Sean Strickland and the most recent to Dricus du Plessis.
