The super-fight between the two rising stars in professional boxing is scheduled at a catch-weight of 136 pounds. ‘KingRy’ was subjected to a rehydration clause that will prevent him from being no more than 146 pounds on the night of the fight. The clause was put into place by Davis’ team to prevent Garcia from coming into the fight much heavier than ‘Tank’, Garcia enjoys a 5-inch reach advantage over Davis, standing at 5’10 as compared to Davis at 5’5.
The 24-year-old fighter spoke of the fight and the hurdles he had to face to make sure the fight gets signed in an interview with InsideFighting, where he said:
“I’m the only one after it, you know. Tank is not vocal like I am, he’s not a person that’s really after it, ‘I want it this way, I want it that way’ he’s not after it. He’s looking for a way out and I’m not gonna give him one. I’m ready for him, I’m gonna beat him, imma take everything from him. We just put everything out there because point blank period, you’re a p***sy”
Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia will take place on April 22nd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

‘KingRy’ made it clear that he thinks Mayweather would win the fight despite his friendship with Jake Paul. But he also mentioned that the fight would go the full distance if it happened. He told TMZ Sports:
“You know what man, I gotta say, Floyd is getting up there in age but he’ll probably still beat up Jake. But guess what, Jake won’t get knocked out. He 100% couldn’t knock out Logan [Paul].
