Paige VanZant vs. Christine Wolmarans is one of the more surprising additions to Power Slap 8. The former UFC star will take on Wolmarans in a women's bantamweight clash later this evening.

While she has found immense success on social media following her UFC exit, '12 Gauge' has also expanded her horizons to other combat sports in recent years.

She currently holds an MMA record of 8-5 and a BKFC record of 0-2. Most recently she drew against Elle Brooke in a boxing match at Misfits Boxing 15. Her match against Wolmarans will be her first slap-fighting outing.

Interestingly, Wolmarans is also a former MMA fighter, with a professional MMA record of 1-2. Unlike her opponent, however, ' The Edge' is not green to slap fighting. She is 0-1 at Power Slap, with her most recent outing ending in a second-round knockout loss to Sheena Bathory.

Paige VanZant has won the toss and will be delivering the first slap.

VanZant chooses to slap after three wind-ups. '12 Gauge's' first slap momentarily wobbles her opponent.

Wolmarans's slap:

She slaps after one windup. However, the slap fails to budge the UFC veteran.

Round 2

VanZant's slap:

A powerful shot by VanZant. The slaps force her opponent to take a knee. However, she recovers before the 10 count.
