UFC welterweight Punahele Soriano gave a witty response to one of his post-UFC Vegas 101 press conference questions. Soriano cheekily corrected the reporter's information.
Soriano already had a reputation for being a fierce KO artist with several first-round TKO victories in his pro-MMA career. He again justified his claim to fame with another first-round TKO victory over Uros Medic at UFC Vegas 101.
Soriano refused to settle for half-measures and threw strikes with all his might right from the beginning of the fight. After absorbing a calf kick, he pressurized his rival to the cage wall with a left-right hook combo.
The following calf kick from Medic provided him with another opening, which Soriano made the most of. He flatlined his rival within just 31 seconds of the fight with another overextended left-right hook combo and ground strikes.

"Correction. My fastest [victory] is 10 seconds. But it's not in the ring [cage]. I'm just kidding."
When did Punahele Soriano earn another 31-second victory over his rival?
The reporter at the post-UFC Vegas 101 press conference knew that Punahele Soriano's victory over Uros Medic was the second time that he ended a fight at exactly 31 seconds. However, most fans may be unaware of when he earned the first victory.
Soriano's other 31-second victory came in 2018 before he entered the UFC. The 5-4 UFC welterweight took on a Brazilian fighter named Rafael Celestino in a main card fight for Titan FC 49 on 6 April 2018. He trusted his striking once more and finished his rival in 31 seconds with a collection of fierce punches.
