Jonathan Haggerty sees a tough challenge in Superlek at ONE 168
ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty is bracing for a tough challenge when he takes on Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 in an all-champion title clash at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.
He said that it does not matter if 'The Kicking Machine' has to go a weight division higher in their scheduled match, as he believes he has the tools and drive to overcome whatever is put in front of him.
Jonathan Haggerty shared this in his session on the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast, highlighting how he is going to have his work cut out for him at ONE 168, saying:
"He's just a great fighter, you know. Growing up, I used to watch him fight. He's got all the weapons to beat anyone in the wolrd. He's beaten everyone, so it's up to me now to make sure he doesn't beat me. That's it."
At ONE 168, Superlek is bidding to become a double ONE world champion by adding the bantamweight Muay Thai world title to the flyweight kickboxing gold he already holds.
