Rafael dos Anjos emerged as a big winner at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Holland. The former lightweight champion took on Bryan Barberena in a welterweight scrap and submitted him with a rear-naked choke in the second round.
With the victory, dos Anjos broke several UFC records on December 3. As per TSN's, Aaron Bronsteter, the Brazilian surpassed Frankie Edgar to become the new leader for the most cage time in UFC history. In doing so, the 38-year-old also became the first fighter to surpass the eight-hour cage time mark in the UFC.

In terms of control time inside the octagon, dos Anjos secured fourth place after Georges St-Pierre, Demian Maia, and Clay Guida.
The Brazilian now also ranks seventh on the list of fighters with the most time in the top position. And, in terms of most takedowns, the former lightweight ranks ninth after his recent win at UFC Orlando.
Dos Anjos has now also entered the top five of two more lists. The Brazilian is now among the top five fighters with the most fights and with the most wins in the UFC.
Rafael dos Anjos calls out Conor McGregor for a fight
After his victory over Bryan Barberena, Rafael dos Anjos used his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier to make a callout. The callout was for none other than Irish superstar Conor McGregor.
The Brazilian asked McGregor to get clean and meet him inside the octagon in July:
"I think I have the right to call somebody and I want to call out Conor McGregor. Seven years ago, I earned this fight beating Donald Cerrone. he came up a division, we were supposed to fight, I broke my foot but now here I am. He has a couple of months to clear his body from all the s**t that he's taking and I will see you in July," said Rafael dos Anjos.

The Brazilian and McGregor were scheduled to fight at UFC 196 for the UFC lightweight championship. Days before the event, dos Anjos suffered an injury due to which he had to withdraw from the fight.
Nate Diaz stepped in as a late replacement and went on to defeat the Irishman with a second-round submission.
