Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor's ally Dillon Danis took to X to troll the newly scheduled matchup between Renato Moicano and Islam Makhachev. Danis who was Conor McGregor's jiu-jitsu coach as well as training partner has a long history of taking jabs at the Nurmagomedov camp.
The UFC 311 main event fell to bits as Arman Tsarukyan had to pull out from the fight due to a back injury he suffered. The UFC was quick to act upon the pullout and they replaced the Armenian with No.10-ranked Renato Moicano who was scheduled to fight Beneil Dariush. Certainly, it will be an opportunity of a lifetime for the Brazilian to pull off a massive upset.
Danis took to his official X account to post a compilation video of Moicano getting beaten down. While posting the video, he also took a jab at Nurmagomedov's title fight against Al Iaquinta, labeling the former as a real estate agent. He wrote:
"This may be worse than Khabib fighting the real estate agent for the belt #UFC311."

"Stay authentic to who you are": Georges St-Pierre wants young fighters to stop copying Conor McGregor
Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre wants young fighters to be authentic and stop emulating Conor McGregor. The Canadian native believes McGregor never played a character and his unique style and charisma was part of his overall personality. There have been many UFC fighters who have felt forced to trash talk, with Colby Covington and Magomed Ankalaev being noticeable examples.
During his interview with Matt Serra on GEEKING OUT WITH MATT SERRA, Rush conveyed that authencity is the most important characteristic for success. He said:
"A lot of the new generation, they watch Conor McGregor because he made a lot of money being a good trash talker and this is who he is, he's very good at it. I think some people, they try to create a character around them and it shows that it's not authentic...If you stay authentic to who you are, I think it's more charismatic than if you are trying to play someone that you are not. I think it shows at some point."
