Raquel Pennington doesn't believe Julianna Pena deserves to fight for the women's bantamweight title right after a long layoff. 'Rocky' is convinced that the former champion is a master of "yapping" her way into big fights.
Pennington is set to meet Pena in the co-main event of UFC 307 this weekend at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In an interview with Damon Martin ahead of the pay-per-view, the reigning women bantamweight queen slammed 'The Venezuelan Vixen' for talking her way into a title shot, saying:
"She has a fricking master's degree in yapology. Like she talks and she keeps herself relevant that way. But at the end of the day, it's like I don't understand how this girl can stay injured and she comes back, and all of a sudden she is getting a big fight, and then she is injured and she comes back and gets something else. It's like who is managing you? Like what are you doing here? Whatever you are doing, great. It's working for you."

Raquel Pennington believes she is "better in every aspect" than Julianna Pena
Raquel Pennington believes she is a far superior fighter than her UFC 307 adversary, Julianna Pena. The Colorado native is convinced she can outwork Pena in striking and grappling exchanges.
Talking to Megan Olivi ahead of the pay-per-view, the 36-year-old said:
"I feel like I'm better in every aspect, you know. I feel like Julianna, I think her thing is she likes chaos. She likes to start a dog fight. First and foremost not falling into that and just focusing on my game and focusing on my hands."
