More than a month ahead of his fated world title defense, two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty looks ready to exorcise the bitter defeat he suffered against Superlek Kiatmoo9.
Haggerty will defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against the reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion in the main event of ONE 168: Denver on September 6 at Ball Arena in Colorado.
Taking to Instagram, Haggerty showed that his head coach Christian Knowles has joined him in Ko Samui for the final leg of his training camp in Thailand.

Jonathan Haggerty wrote in his post:
"I'm on a whole new level. I'm ready to keep what's mine. @onechampionship 5 weeks to go 🤫 #ANDSTILL 🇬🇧🤴"
Haggerty, who also holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title, has been on a dominant war path since losing the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title to current holder Rodtang Jitmuangnon in January 2020.
'The General' is riding an impressive six-fight winning streak, with the latter three wins coming via vicious knockout.
Superlek, though, has long cast a shadow over Haggerty.
'The Kicking Machine' scored a technical knockout win over Haggerty when they met in England at a Yokkao event in 2018.
Haggerty has a chance to finally even the score when he gets locked inside the circle with Superlek in September in Denver.

Jonathan Haggerty recalls his iconic knockout of Nong-O
Jonathan Haggerty produced magical moments in his career, none more so than his stunning knockout of the legendary Nong-O Hama in 2022.
Coming into the match, Haggerty was seen as a massive underdog but that label didn't deter him from the goal of capturing the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.
Haggerty sent Nong-O crashing to the canvas three times in the opening round, the third being the one that put the Muay Thai icon to sleep.
In a video he posted on his YouTube channel, Haggerty detailed what went through his mind when he knocked Nong-O out in their world title meeting:
"In that bit there, when I knocked him out, I was literally holding him off. And I was creating space for my uppercuts, my elbows and everything was just landing sweetly. So when he went down, it wasn't nice to see, like I said, but at the same time, it was a bit bittersweet. It was like, yes, it's done, and the new, and the new."
