Joe Rogan recently expressed his opinions about the reason behind the generation of several baseless conspiracy theories related to famous incidents. Rogan saw this as an effective tool that some people use for a specific purpose.

Rogan prefers going unsolicited regarding the topics on his famous podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE). The 57-year-old hosted the standup comedians and History Hyenas podcast hosts, Yannis Pappas and Chris DiStefano for the latest episode (no. 2249) of JRE, where the trio delved into discussions about a plethora of topics.

Their chat about the American far-right radio personality, Alex Jones, got Rogan talking about conspiracy theories. He mentioned that a specific group of people generate baseless conspiracy theories about noteworthy incidents intentionally to drift the public attention from the real reason for their occurrence. Rogan stated:

"Some people create fake conspiracy theories and then put them online. There’s a more nefarious aspect to it too [other than gaining attention from such content]. The more conspiracy theories you can make look really stupid, the more the real ones seem preposterous."

Rogan also explained his take with a few examples:

"9/11 was an inside job. That sounds fu**ing insane that the government did that. But, ‘51 CIA agents testified that Hunter Biden’s laptop was rushing misinformation’. That sounds crazy too. But that’s real. If you get enough of the ones that don’t make sense, like the Jews control the weather… They’re all [bound to sway you away from the real reasons]."

Joe Rogan called Bryce Mitchell's belief a fake conspiracy theory

Bryce Mitchell has showcased his belief in the flat earth theory multiple times. His commentary about this issue also got him into a verbal tussle with Joe Rogan. However, Mitchell decided to squash the beef with Rogan during his UFC 310 octagon interview after defeating Kron Gracie.

Rogan also showcased an amicable attitude towards Mitchell at UFC 310. However, he criticized the flat heart theory again in the latest episode of JRE. Rogan included the flat earth theory in his list of fake conspiracy theories. He said:

"If you get enough of the ones [conspiracy theories] that don’t make sense, like the Jews control the weather, you get enough of the flat earth ones, they're all bound to sway you away from the reality]."
