Jon Jones and further details on his case with drug testing agents

Jon Jones was in a New Mexico court, albeit virtually, with the case being overseen by Judge Brittany Maldonado Malott with Jones' attorney Christopher Dodd also taking part in the proceedings. A bench trial is still to take place for this situation, although a date has not been concretely determined as of this writing.

The 36-year-old was expressly ordered by the court to avoid breaking any laws in the interim. This includes things like not possessing firearms or dangerous weapons as well as not possessing or consuming alcohol or other illicit substances.

Jon Jones also has to keep the court informed on if his address happens to change, he has to keep up contact with his attorney, and conversely, must avoid any contact with the alleged victims within this case.

'Bones' allegedly had a warrant initially issued to him in this case but it was clarified by his legal representation that the MMA fighter missed a prior hearing as a result of his name and address being incorrectly recorded by the court.

The Rochester native had the initial interaction with agents of Drug Free Sport taking place on March 30 with the contention being Jones was allegedly agitated in appearance and failed to provide a urine sample. Jones reportedly stated he was going to sue the agents and the claim was that he grabbed one of the agent's phones and began recording them.

Jones has vehemently denied these accusations and the case is still an ongoing matter. This situation has been discussed since it initially became known by both fans and former opponents alike.
