Reece McLaren believes his fight with Adriano Moraes is the fight to make after he outperforms Jarred Brooks at ONE Fight Night 26.

The Australian superstar has set major goals for himself for the new year. On the brink of fighting interim strawweight king Jarred Brooks this Friday, McLaren has his heart set on becoming the new face of the flyweight division.

If he secures a victory over Brooks, then there's no doubt that he'll be fighting Adriano Moraes for the vacant ONE flyweight belt. Settting the plan into motion, he told the Bangkok Post:

"How do you think it goes? If there's a fight to be made, that's the one. The title's vacant, the GOAT'S given it up and it's there for the taking."

Reece McLaren has every reason to feel excited about punching his ticket to a world title shot against Moraes. The 33-year-old scrapper has spent the last decade trying to prove himself against the toughest competition in the world.

He recently bounced back from a controversial loss to Kairat Akhmetov with a hard-earned split-decision victory over Hu Yong this past May.

However, if he were to score a victory over a reigning champion like Jarred Brooks, McLaren will immediately legitmize himself for an MMA world title.

"We both bring it" - Reece McLaren says he can guarantee one heck of a tough fight for Jarred Brooks

Reece McLaren had less than five weeks notice for his upcoming showdown with Jarred Brooks. But he's not the type of fighter to make excuses for a poor performance.

If there's anything we know about McLaren, it's that he's a guy who loves violence:

"I'm always trying to make everyone else look like an amateur and be the only pro of the night sort of thing. We both bring it."

ONE Fight Night 26 airs live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand via Prime Video in North America.
