Reece McLaren isn't letting a short fight camp stop him from being his most destructive self.
The Australian firecracker didn't have his desired fight camp ahead of his flyweight MMA match against Jarred Brooks at ONE Fight Night 26 on Friday, US primetime, at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
Nevertheless, McLaren promised he would be chaos personified the moment he steps between the ropes in Bangkok.
Reece McLaren said in an interview with Nick Atkin at Bangkok Post that he only had five weeks to prepare for Brooks, but vowed to deliver a showstopping performance against the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion.

"I’m going to be absolutely honest man. It’s a five-week camp, four weeks of hard work. I don’t think you’re getting the best Reece but you’re going to get the most violent," he said.
McLaren has been a staple with ONE Championship since his promotional debut in 2015.
With three wins in his last four fights, 'Lightning' is riding a strong wave of momentum and he plans to carry that surge when he welcomes Brooks into the flyweight MMA division.
Of his last three wins, two were finishes with McLaren taking a first-round submission win over China's Xie Wei and a second-round knockout finish over Brazil's Windson Ramos.
It'll be intriguing to see how McLaren operates against a natural strawweight in Brooks, but the former ONE bantamweight MMA world title contender promised nothing but pure violence once they touch gloves on December 6.
ONE Fight Night 26 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Reece McLaren doesn't plan on letting off the gas pedal when he takes on Jarred Brooks this Friday.
The number fourth-ranked flyweight MMA contender said in an interview with ONE Championship that he did enough work in his short training camp to show Brooks why venturing into 135 pounds would be a huge problem.
McLaren said:
"I'm always trying to make everyone else look like an amateur and be the only pro of the night sort of thing. We both bring it. I'm gonna try and bring it in as fit as I can within a four-week camp."
