Two-division ONE world champion Regian Eersel delivered a showstopping performance in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 9, the promotion’s latest show in its weekly events at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
The reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion stepped into the Circle to run back his October clash with Thai striker Sinsamut Klinmee. Regian Eersel captured the title in a closely-contested contest with Klinmee at ONE on Prime Video 3, but things were much more decisive at ONE Friday Fights 9
Regian Eersel put a cap on their rivalry with an impressive fourth-round knockout to retain his title and extend his win streak to 21-in-a-row, including a 9-0 run under the ONE Championship banner. ‘The Immortal’ spoke with the promotion following his spectacular win, sharing his thoughts on the finish and giving his opponent kudos for being a formidable foe.
“I feel very good, I’m a happy man now. It was a tough fight, my respect to Sinsamut - he came better this time. He was well-prepared, he hit me with the kicks. But I knew in the championship rounds, nobody can survive my condition. I saw that he was tired, so I had to go to the body, and I did.”

At just 30 years old, Eersel has established himself as one of the most dominant fighters in ONE Championship history, besting every fighter that has stepped inside the Circle with him.
Regian Eersel believes his superior fight IQ was the deciding factor
Regian Eersel may not be a notorious finisher, but ‘The Immortal’ dazzles fans every time he competes with his brilliantly executed game plans and his unmatched fight IQ. In fact, it was that very fight IQ that he believes led to his destruction of Sinsamut Klinmee at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Friday night.
“My fight IQ,” Eersel said when asked why he was confident about earning a knockou victory on Friday. “No disrespect, but I know that I’m smarter than him, as you saw. And my game plan worked perfectly. I took some damage, but that’s part of the game.”
Following his brutal body shot knockout of Klinmee, ‘The Immortal’ was informed that he had scored a $50,000 bonus for his impressive performance. Eersel was very appreciative, thanking ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong upon hearing the news.
“Thank you Chatri, thank you ONE for the opportunity to fight,” he said. “This is my favorite organization.”
