ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel is dedicated to his craft as a fighter but is making sure that he balances things out with the other activities he likes doing, including watching movies over Netflix.

'The Immortal' shared this facet of his life as a topnotch fighter in an interview with MMA UK, in line with his scheduled return to action at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 in Thailand.

He highlighted that important for him is also finding time to keep his mind off training and the matches every now and then to continue to enjoy what he is doing, saying:

"Other hobbies -- cooking, watching Netflix. What else? Spending time with ny daughters. Yeah, quality time with the family, and just have fun. Do fun activities outside when there's good weather. But yeah, in the Netherlands, you often don't have good weather, but yeah, stuff like that. Go to the beach, enjoy the sun, swim, stuff like that."

At ONE Fight NIght 25, which will be played at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Regian Eersel will try to reclaim the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title he lost to Alexis Nicolas of France in April and restore his standing as a double ONE world champion.

ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas-Eersel II will air live and for free to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Regian Eersel says he has a new game plan for Alexis Nicolas in rematch

Having learned from their first encounter, Regian Eersel said he will have a different game plan when he takes on Alexis Nicolas in their rematch at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 in Thailand.

The Surinamese-Dutch fighter lost the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title to 'Barboza' in their championship fight back in April. He bowed by unanimous decision, effectively stripping him of his double ONE world champion status, as he is also the division's Muay Thai king.

In an interview with MMA UK, Regian Eersel shared that he learned so many things in his first meeting with Nicolas, which he is incorporating in his preparation for their rematch.

He said:

"The strategy for this rematch is going to be way different than the strategy when I fought (Alexis) the first time. My training schedule stays the same, but the way I train, the details are different."

Prior to losing the belt to Nicolas, Eersel defended the lightweight kickboxing world title he won in 2019 four times.
