'The Immortal' Regian Eersel is well-versed in combat sports technique. The Surinamese-Dutch fighter is on a 20-fight win streak that includes impressive victories over Islam Murtazaev, Nieky Holzken, Brad Riddell, and most recently, Sinsamut Klinmee.
The 29-year-old athlete has defended his ONE kickboxing throne in four fights. At ONE on Prime Video 3 last week, he made history by becoming a two-sport world champion as he added the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship to his name.
'The Immortal' explained in an interview with Beyond Kickboxing that he wants to be considered a kickboxing legend in his lifetime:
"Five or 10 years from now, I hope the people will see me as a living legend by then. Because of what I’ve accomplished. I hope I will put on very great fights for the fans."
Regian Eersel vs. Superbon Singha Mawynn?
Both Regian Eersel and Superbon Singha Mawynn are interested in adding and collecting more gold belts.
ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon has previously stated that he wants a Muay Thai world title. With that, he would consider going up in weight to fight Eersel.
Surinamese-Dutch athlete Eersel heard the callout and responded while speaking to VechtSport. 'The Immortal' certainly appears to be up for the challenge:
"Yeah, I'm open to that. I like a challenge. Let's go man ... I have to look out for his kicks, of course. I mean everybody saw his knockout against [Giorgio] Petrosyan. He's a great athlete with great techniques."

A collision between Regian Eersel and Superbon Singha Mawynn would be a battle of reigning kickboxing world champions in the ONE circle.
Both of these striking greats have already created incredible legacies in the sport, but defeating another world champion would be a huge jewel in their crown.
