'The Dutch Knight' Reinier de Ridder suffered his first career loss at the hands of hard-hitting Russian 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin. With the ONE light heavyweight world title on the line, the Dutch athlete was stopped via first-round knockout.

As it marked his opening defeat, fans are curious to see how he will react. While speaking in an interview with SCMP MMA, 'The Dutch Knight' explained his attitude.

De Ridder said that he needs to get better and reclaim the throne, explaining:

"All in all, what I’ve taken from it is I can be a little b*tch and whine about it for the next couple of years, or I could set things straight and learn from this and grow. And I intend on being the best fighter in the world still, and I intend to avenge this loss."
