Unbeaten Dutch double-champ Reinier de Ridder is preparing to face fellow undefeated foe Anatoly Malykhin at ONE on Prime Video 5. 'The Dutch Knight' knows he'll have to combat the challenger's wrestling, and he's prepared to do so.
De Ridder is quite possibly the baddest man on ONE Championship's stacked roster. A perfect 7-0 record combined with a resume that includes wins over Leandro Ataides, Aung La N Sang (x2), Kiamrian Abbasov, and Vitaly Bigdash certifies the 32-year-old's willingness to fight anyone at any time.
He welcomes yet another stiff challenge in Malykhin in his next bout. De Ridder broke down his Russian opponent's wrestling game in an interview with SCMP MMA:
"His wrestling is very strong. Pretty basic, and shoots heavy doubles. We haven’t really seen him getting backed up, recently. He mostly comes forward. I think this is where the fight will happen. Me pressing him down, me stalking him, and then finally me taking him down and putting him on his back."

Reinier de Ridder says Arjan Bhullar is "not relevant"
Reinier de Ridder isn't satisfied with just being a simultaneous two-division champ. He has been eyeing a mega-match with heavyweight king Arjan Bhullar for quite some time now. However, he told SCMP MMA that Bhullar is ducking him:
“Yeah, but who knows what happens to Bhullar? I’m done chasing that. He’s not available, he doesn’t want to fight. He’s not relevant at the moment.”
Bhullar is yet to make an appearance inside the circle in 2022. In fact, he hasn't competed since defeating Brandon Vera in May 2021. It appears as though De Ridder will have to wait for his opportunity to fight the heavyweight champ.
De Ridder and Malykhin are set to headline a card that features four world title fights. Not only that, but there's an underrated non-title fight on the card between feared competitors Roberto Soldic and Murad Ramazanov.
Be sure to watch Reinier de Ridder look to defend his world title against interim heavyweight champion Anatoly Malykhin at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2 (US primetime), live from the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines.
