De Ridder’s versatility across different weight classes is astounding. ‘The Dutch Knight’ plans to become a three-division world champion by moving up to heavyweight in the future.
Before focusing on a third division,‘The Dutch Knight’ has a tough test against ONE interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin. Their ONE on Prime Video 5 matchup is for de Ridder’s light heavyweight crown, but the 32-year-old will get an opportunity to test his skills against an elite heavyweight.

Reinier De Ridder appreciates ONE Championship attempting to make watching events easier for Europe
ONE Championship has done a phenomenal job making its product available across the globe, including an expansion into the U.S. with Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Reinier De Ridder is from the Netherlands and has a lot of supporters from his home country. During an interview with SCMP MMA, ‘The Dutch Knight’ had this to say:
“I’m happy that they got this [Amazon] deal done. I hear they are busy doing deals in Europe as well, for my home fans. It will be nice because they won’t have to do some difficult stuff just to watch Amazon, like VPN and stuff. I’m happy that they are making steps, and that they are growing.”
ONE Championship’s worldwide expansion will give other major MMA promotions a run for their money. Displaying several martial arts disciplines on every fight card also adds a unique twist to their events.
It could only be a matter of time before ONE becomes the number-one MMA promotion on the planet. In fact, they may already be there.
