Reinier de Ridder revealed that his two-year-old child has been helping him prepare for ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
On May 5, ‘The Dutch Knight’ will return to the circle for ONE Championship’s first event on North American soil. Five months after his devastating knockout loss, the reigning middleweight world champion isn’t ready for an MMA return. Instead, De Ridder will take on Tye Ruotolo in an intriguing submission grappling matchup.
De Ridder is putting the finishing touches on his training camp at home before making the trip to North America. As he prepares to leave his family, ‘The Dutch Knight’ recently posted a picture of himself and his son on Instagram with the caption saying:
“My trainer and me in the gym. Some of his best motivational quotes are: ''Other leg daddy'' and ''Sis in school'' I am wrapping up my training back home and will be heading out to the states soon. Looking forward to showing of the beast I have been building.”

Reinier de Ridder has competed in submission grappling once under the ONE Championship banner. In March 2022, he went to a draw against Andre Galvao at ONE X before the promotion changed the rules to prevent ties.
Meanwhile, Ruotolo comes into ONE Fight Night 10 with a 2-0 record after submitting Garry Tonon and Marat Gafurov, earning a $50,000 performance bonus for both matches. Along with his brother Kade Ruotolo, Tye is emerging as a submission grappling superstar and could continue to do so with a win against De Ridder inside the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado.
ONE Fight Night 10 can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
