Renato Moicano recently opened up about the likelihood of a potential lightweight clash against Paddy Pimblett and dismissed the idea. The Brazilian explained the reasoning behind why the promotion would be opposed to booking it and doesn't believe it would materialize.

'Money' most recently earned an impressive TKO via a doctor's stoppage against Benoit Saint-Denis and could be in a great position to surge up the rankings with another win. It was his third consecutive win of the year and extended his winning streak to four straight wins. Meanwhile, Pimblett is also riding an impressive streak of his own as he has won eight consecutive bouts and is unbeaten since joining the UFC.

During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the Brazilian dismissed a potential bout against 'The Baddy' because he doesn't think the UFC would be interested. Moicano mentioned that the promotion will want to protect Pimblett and not risk him losing:

"UFC is going to protect him, that's 100%. [Pimblett] is not fighting 'Money' Moicano...Think about the company, UFC, what's the point of doing this matchup? 'Money' Moicano [is] going to smash Paddy Pimblett...One takedown the fight is over and they [are] going to lose a very good product because we cannot lie, Paddy Pimblett is a good product for the UFC."

Renato Moicano discloses that his post-fight interview at UFC Paris wasn't planned

Renato Moicano went viral with his latest post-fight interview, where he sounded off on President Emmanuel Macron at UFC Paris and disclosed that it wasn't planned.

During the aforementioned appearance, Moicano mentioned that he saw the reaction that initially planned on sounding off on the fans, but Bryan Battle beat him to it with his interview earlier:

"When I was talking to my coaches, they say, 'You know, you have to be the bad guy for this fight because they love Benoit Saint Denis'...So okay, I'm going to talk some sh*t to these guys and then Bryan Battle said that...And I was like, 'Man, that's not gonna work'...After the win, I just said that kind of stuff [about Macron] but was not planned."
