Renato Moicano recently explained why a bout against Paddy Pimblett didn't materialize and shared his thoughts on why he believes the UFC are hesitant about booking the fight. The Brazilian has expressed interest in fighting 'The Baddy', which excited fans but it doesn't appear likely at the moment.

'Money' is riding high following his impressive win over Benoit Saint Denis at UFC Paris, where he earned a second-round TKO via doctor's stoppage. The win extended his win streak to four and is currently the No.10-ranked lightweight.

'The Baddy', on the other hand, is riding an eight-fight winning streak dating back to 2020. He is currently the No.13-ranked lightweight and has notable wins over the likes of Tony Ferguson and King Green.

During his latest appearance on Michael Bisping's Believe You Me podcast, Moicano explained why a bout against Pimblett isn't happening:

"If [UFC books Pimblett vs. Saint Denis], it's just gonna show everybody that they were not willing to risk Paddy Pimblett against 'Money' Moicano...And I don't even dislike Paddy Pimblett, you know?...Unfortunately for him, he's in my division and he's a big profile, a lot of people watch him. And like you say, I want big fights, I want big checks. Moicano wants money." [10:18]

Renato Moicano believes former foe Benoit Saint Denis would be favorite against Paddy Pimblett

In addition to explaining why a bout against Paddy Pimblett isn't happening, Renato Moicano gave his prediction for the hypothetical bout between 'The Baddy' and Benoit Saint Denis.

During the aforementioned appearance, Moicano mentioned that he believes his former foe would be the favorite against Pimblett despite the results of their respective recent bouts.

"If [Pimblett vs. Saint Denis] happens, I think Benoit definitely should be the favorite. I'm not counting Paddy Pimblett out because we know that he can take a punch. You know, the Jarred Gordon fight, he received a lot of punches and he has good Jiu-Jitsu. But I think Benoit Saint Denis' aggressiveness will be too much." [10:56]
