Following Arman Tsarukyan’s withdrawal from UFC 311, Dana White revealed that Renato Moicano, the No.10-ranked contender, will be the next fighter to challenge Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title.
Moicano, who was slated to fight Beneil Dariush, will now be fighting for the strap. After the announcement, he sent a chilling warning to the Dagestani native on socials. Now, at the pre-fight face-off, 'Money Moicano' has once again issued a response to the champion.
The challenger told Makhachev at the faceoff that he is “more than ready.”

Renato Moicano is currently on a four-fight win streak and, after Arman Tsarukyan’s withdrawal from UFC 311, has his eyes on lightweight gold. 'Money Moicano' (20-5-1) has an impressive fight resume: two wins by knockout, ten by submission, and four first-round finishes.
At the UFC 311 pre-fight faceoff, when asked by Joe Rogan what it feels like to take the title fight on short notice, Moicano said:
"I don’t give a f*ck. I cannot afford to fu*king lose and that’s true. Doesn’t matter if it is the champion or not. Tomorrow, I’m winning."

Meanwhile, Islam Makhachev said he couldn’t leave his fans without a fight this weekend. He told Rogan that the outcome remains the same no matter who the opponent is.
