It seems Renato Moicano fought Benoit Saint Denis with a severe shoulder injury he sustained a few weeks before UFC Paris. Regardless, the Brazilian scored a TKO (doctor's stoppage) victory in the headlining bout of the card.
Veteran journalist Kevin Iole recently took to X and posted a picture of Moicano with a dislocated bone in the shoulder region, which appears to be a displaced acromion. He also posted an X-ray image confirming the serious nature of the injury. Iole wrote:
"Incredible toughness! @mocainoufc fought second round of fight with severely damaged shoulder #ufcparis"
Responding to the post, Moicano commented:

"I hurt my shoulder 3 weeks ago… but I couldn’t pull out of a main event… thank you my team for helping me training like that and get me ready for the fight #ufcparis #att."

Moicano relied on his strong grappling background to negate Saint Denis' brawling style and secured a takedown early in Round 1. He spent most of the round in the top position, landing vicious elbows and punches that opened huge cuts around the Frenchman's eyes.
The cuts worsened as the fight progressed and the doctor ruled Saint Denis unable to continue before heading into Round 3.
The TKO victory extended Moicano's win streak to four. He has defeated Brad Riddell, Drew Dober, Jalin Turner, and Saint Denis in his most recent outings.
With those wins now in the past, Moicano is looking forward to fighting notable opponents of the lightweight division. Speaking on the UFC Fight Night Post Show, Moicano called out Dan Hooker and Paddy Pimblett:
"If they want to give me an easy pass for the title shot, Dan Hooker is easy money. Imagine if I take him down... What am I going to do to him? He has no ground game. Paddy Pimblett is another easy money but I respect him a little bit more. You know why? Because he has a lot of followers."
