Reug Reug backing former rival to overcome Amir Aliakbari at ONE 169: "I give Buchecha a 60 percent chance to win"

'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane believes Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida should have enough in his tank to return to winning ways when he meets Amir Aliakbari at ONE 169.

The Senegalese superstar does see a tough war unfolding between the pair, however.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with ONE Championship, Reug Reug stated:

"I give Buchecha a 60 percent chance to win and Aliakbari at 40 percent. Aliakbari is a big wrestling guy as well, and Buchecha is from jiu-jitsu. But this is an MMA fight, so anything can happen."

The Black Panther Sports and ReugReug MMA representative put an end to Buchecha's perfect MMA resume when they crossed paths at ONE Fight Night 13 in August last year.

He dominated the multi-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend on the feet and the canvas to earn a well-deserved unanimous decision nod.

On his end, the 32-year-old colossal will attempt to secure the heavyweight MMA crown from three-division king Anatoly Malykhin in the headline attraction of the Lumpinee Stadium showcase on Nov. 8.

Reug Reug and Malykhin have spent the past few months trading barbs on social media, making the already-explosive war even more intriguing.

Now that the time for talking is almost over, the watching world can expect both warriors to silence one another and go all out in search of heavyweight MMA supremacy on fight night.

Ahead of their must-watch world title tilt, the challenger vows to put Anatoly Malykhin to sleep. However, the latter isn't concerned at all about Reug Reug's promise.

The three-division world champion, who spots a pristine 14-0 resume with a 100 percent finishing rate, told the promotion recently:

"This guy is utterly helpless. As I have already said, he is a fitness fighter. He lacks knockout power, has never shaken anybody, never knocked down anybody, but keeps saying he would knock me out!"
