Rich Franklin excited for coming ONE events in the United States in 2025: "Everything's looking amazing"

ONE Championship has been laser-focused on growing its fanbase in the United States. According to ONE Vice President Rich Franklin, two high-profile events will take place on American soil in 2025.

'Ace' recently spoke with now-retired MMA megastar and former ONE flyweight MMA world champion Demetrious Johnson on his Mighty Cast podcast, where he bared his excitement for what the promotion has in store for its US-based fans:

"We'll have two shows on ground in the US next year, and I don't think we have released the cities that we're going to yet, but that will be coming. I'm excited about that, that's just the labor of some of the work I've done."

'Ace' also added:

"We should be having some news about Qatar and a few other big shows that are coming up. Everything's looking amazing with Prime Video."

The world's largest martial arts promotion has held two live events in the United States, both in Colorado: ONE Fight Night 10 in May 2023 and ONE 168: Denver this past Sept. 6.

Poetically, 'Mighty Mouse' appeared in both events. On the May 2023 card in Broomfield, he ended his trilogy with flyweight MMA royalty Adriano Moraes via unanimous decision.

Meanwhile on the Denver card, Johnson shocked the world by announcing his retirement from MMA inside the Ball Arena.

Rich Franklin hints at more US states to have approved ONE's rule set

In the same interview with Demetrious Johnson, Rich Franklin also shared that ONE is in line to have more events in different states after their governing bodies approved the promotion's unique rule set, which features allowing knees to the head of a grounded opponent during an MMA bout.

Franklin mentioned:

"We're not in Florida yet, but we'll get there. I have a list of about eight states that have approved the rule set."
