Rich Franklin excited for live filming of Russell Crowe movie ‘The Beast in Me’ at ONE 170: “That’s gonna be pretty cool” 

MMA great Rich Franklin has practically seen everything throughout his decorated fighting career. However, even the fighter turned ONE Championship executive revealed his excitement for the promotion's upcoming Hollywood crossover at ONE 170.

Apart from another blockbuster line-up of epic fights across multiple sports, the Jan. 24 event at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand will feature the live filming of Broken Open Picture's feature-length film, 'The Beast in Me' starring Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe alongside Daniel MacPherson.

The ONE Vice President shared in a guest appearance on Demetrious Johnson's Migthy Cast:

"On the show side of things, we’re making some moves. I don’t know if you’ve heard about 'The Beast In Me' deal that we did with the Russel Crowe movie, but we’re gonna be filming that at our January event at Impact Arena in Bangkok."

'Ace' continued:

"That’s gonna be pretty cool. I’ll be there to witness that. It’ll be interesting to see how a movie tapes during a live event. I’ve never seen that before, that never happened to any of my fights when I was competing. So that would be nice to see from a commentary perspective."

Per the film's official synopsis, MacPherson will portray an out-of-work MMA fighter conflicted by a personal tragedy involving the death of his brother. Backed by Crowe, who plays a veteran trainer, the pair will set out on a quest for redemption by competing in ONE Championship.

Chatri Sityodtong says star-studded ONE 170 is a match made in heaven pairing with 'The Beast in Me'

Chatri Sityodtong, who will also make an appearance in the movie alongside some of ONE's biggest superstars, is certainly fired up for the promotion's latest treat for its loving fans.

The ONE Chairman and CEO said in a press release regarding the history-making partnership:
