Jonathan Haggerty describes the lessons he learned from his two fights against Rodtang Jitmuangnon

The 26-year-old striker has two fights against Rodtang under his belt, but Jonathan Haggerty came up short each time. However, he took lessons away from both bouts, telling Heatrick Muay Thai Performance:

“Championship mindset. Like for instance, when they tell you, ‘You got to fight Rodtang.' In your head, you don’t say no. You just say, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.' From the get-go, you just say ‘Yeah, that’s what I want to do. That’s how I’m going to beat him.' That’s the championship mindset you need to have.”

Haggerty added:

“I was thinking more of like, the crowd. They wanted to see a war. You see in ONE Championship, sort of ONE base, and that Rodtang sort of adrenaline rush powerhouse. They wanted to see that and get excited. And I thought if he wants to do that, I can do that. And it just went out the window, to be fair.”

Haggerty has a golden opportunity against Nong-O, as he hopes to hand the champ his first loss inside the circle. Incredibly, Nong-O is a perfect 10-0 while fighting under ONE Championship's banner.

Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 9 on April 21 to see Jonathan Haggerty challenge the great Nong-O for the undisputed bantamweight Muay Thai world title, live from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

All of the action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
