Brazilian rising star Victoria Souza is an incredible woman with a lot of talents. Not only does she throw down in the cage as a professional MMA fighter, but she also has a budding career in dentistry that she wants to pursue in parallel to fighting.
Speaking in a recent interview with ONE Championship, Souza explained where her fascination with dentistry began.

"I’ve always been interested in watching things about teeth. I used to watch videos of surgeries on YouTube and Instagram Reels. It was an addiction. Then I thought, ‘This is what I want.’ I started doing it, and I loved it. I’ve already done the first phase and loved it, and now in August, I’m going to start the second period."
To be one of the best dentists in the world and then an accomplished MMA fighter, would be living the dream. Thankfully, Souza competes in the world's largest martial arts organization, and this September, she has a massive opportunity.
'Vick' Victoria Souza will make her debut on U.S. soil for ONE Championship when she takes on the United States' Alyse Anderson in an atomweight MMA contest. The two lock horns at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 6.

Victoria Souza says studying dentistry has helped her become a better fighter: "It’s even improved my training"
Since taking up dentistry, Victoria Souza says her mind has become really sharp to the point that it has helped her with her MMA training.
She says fans can expect her to come out a much better fighter in her upcoming match against Alyse Anderson at ONE 168: Denver.
Souza told ONE:
"Studying is something I like, and I believe it helps me. Athletes don’t just have to train their bodies. Athletes have to train their minds, too. It helps me stay focused, maintain concentration, and it’s even improved my training."
