Robbie Lawler vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio: Fight odds

According to bestfightodds.com, Santiago Ponzinibbio is a -400 favorite against Robbie Lawler, who is a +330 underdog. Both fighters lost their last octagon appearances. However, the veteran Lawler is 1-5 in his last six appearances, while Ponzinibbio is 3-3.

On paper, this fight shouldn't go to the judges' scorecards, as both fighters are certified finishers who like to stand in the pocket and trade. Lawler is definitely a veteran with more experience under his belt, but he's also the more battle-tested fighter between the two and seems to be on a downward spiral. His only win in the last five years was against a returning Nick Diaz.

Santiago Ponzinibbio is the younger fighter by four years, and that could play in the Argentine fighter's favor as MMA is often regarded as a young man's sport. Even though Ponzinibbio is on a two-fight losing streak, he has a chance of getting back into the win column against Robbie Lawler at UFC 282.
