Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker analyzes whether he would select Khamzat Chimaev's bout over the winner of Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya 2.
Whittaker recently spoke to MMAFightingOnSBN about which fight he will choose, the Khamzat Chimaev fight or the winner of the rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya. When asked which fight he would pick, 'The Reaper' replied:
"As for the fight itself it's a weird place, he's (Chimaev) not even arranged middleweight right now. Umm... there's lot of guys infront of him, but then I'm in a funny position where I'm looking for a big fight. I'm just lurking at, you know the border of Adesanya-Pereira trying to get my hands on either one of them. So, yeah we have to wait and see."

Robert Whittaker Weighs In: A Bold Prediction for the Jones vs. Gane Battle
Robert 'The Reaper' Whittaker, a former UFC middleweight champion, recently expressed his thoughts on the highly anticipated UFC 285 main event between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane. Jones, a former light heavyweight champion, is making his debut in the heavyweight division and is facing a tough challenge from Ciryl Gane.
Robert Whittaker believes that Jones, despite being the underdog, is a phenomenal fighter with a wealth of experience and skill, and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the new weight class. He also acknowledged the threat posed by Gane, who has been impressive in his UFC career so far and has the power and technique to cause problems for Jones.
The Australian native stated during a conversation with Mainevent:
"Jon Jones is gonna take him down and just lay on him and finish him there. Jones' wrestling is next calibre."
He further added:
"Nobody comes close to what Jon Jones can produce in the octagon, this is my opinion. If you look at his statistics, he can take people down and grapple with ease, strike with the best of them, he's got cardio and strength... And Jones probably has the highest IQ in the game. He'll see a weakness and he'll exploit it."
