Robert Whittaker recently analyzed Dricus du Plessis' fighting style after he earned an impressive submission win over Israel Adesanya to retain his middleweight championship at UFC 305. The Australian noted that the South African has a unique fighting style and struggled to define it.

'Stillknocks' managed to do what no other fight has been able to and submit Adesanya despite appearing to be physically exhausted during the bout. The reigning middleweight champion earned plenty of respect from his peers for his incredible durability and resilience.

During a recent episode of his MMArcade podcast, 'Bobby Knuckles' attempted to define Stillknocks' fighting style, which made for a hilarious exchange with his co-host. Whittaker mentioned that du Plessis' fearless aggressive approach has been successful for him so far and made an interesting comparison to describe it. He said:

"[du Plessis has] got the right mind space to go there. He's willing to die on his shield. The dude's tough as nails. He is so awkward and cumbersome to watch but he gets it done, he makes it work. He runs at you throwing punches like you stole something from him...Man, it works...I don't know how else to sum him up, right? It's like, he would fit perfectly in a pub anywhere in Sydney [Australia]."
