Croatian mixed martial artist Roberto Soldic signed with ONE Championship for the many opportunities he saw in it for him to grow as a fighter. He plans to make full use of it by keeping himself active.
‘Robocop’ is slated to make his second promotional fight on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video at 1stBank Center in Colorado. He will face off against former ONE welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam.
It is one of a series of fights Roberto Soldic wants to have in ONE this year as he further establishes his footing in the organization he chose to be part of beginning last year.
In an interview with MMA Sucka, the UFD Gym affiliate said:

“I think more [fights]. I think two or three times, if there are no injuries. It depends on the fight camp or injuries. For sure, I want to stay active because that’s why I signed with ONE. They really give me a good option for everything.”

Roberto Soldic was one of the most sought-after free agents last year before deciding to sign with ONE. Prior to joining the promotion, he competed and became a champion in both the middleweight and welterweight divisions at KSW in Poland.
His ONE Fight Night 10 opponent, Zebaztian Kadestam, for his part, is currently riding back-to-back wins, with his latest victory coming at the expense of the late Iuri Lapicus of Moldova last August.
ONE Fight Night 10 is the first-ever live on-ground event of ONE Championship in the United States. It will be aired live and free to all North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.
Roberto Soldic wants to show fans why he’s nicknamed ‘Robocop’
Croatian sensation Roberto Soldic looks to show why he is dubbed ‘Robocop’ as he makes his United States debut next month.
The former two-division KSW champion will be part of ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5, ONE Championship’s first-ever live on-ground event in the U.S. He will take on former ONE welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam of Sweden.
In his upcoming fight, Roberto Soldic is out to give a solid performance and highlight why he is monikered ‘Robocop’ and dominated the European mixed martial arts scene for the past decade.
In an interview with the promotion, he said:
“I am going to try to show my U.S. fans who I am and why they call me ‘Robocop’.”
Soldic made his promotional debut in December against Russian Murad Ramazanov. It was, however, ruled a no contest as he was unable to continue when he was struck with an accidental knee in the groin in the opening round.
