Roberto Soldic believes he will be able to perform even better under ONE Championship’s weigh-in and hydration ruleset.
The Croatian sensation is set to make his eagerly-anticipated debut inside the circle this Friday night at ONE on Prime Video 5. As part of the main card, ‘Robocop’ will face a tough test, facing undefeated Russian grappler Murad Ramazanov.
Speaking with The MMA Superfan, Soldic spoke about his final week of preparation, specifically the benefits of ONE’s weigh-in program:
“It was a good move that I go to ONE Championship because the weight cut is like three-four kilos so it's a good hydration test. I think I will perform better. I am very strong. I feel very good now because I can eat everything that I want.”

While other organizations seemingly encourage dangerous weight-cutting methods that leave fighters dehydrated just hours away from a fight, ONE Championship has prioritized fighter safety, requiring each competitor to partake in a hydration test. This ensures that both competitors enter the bout in the best possible condition and on a level playing field.
As a result, fans are treated to more action and spectacular finishes. Roberto Soldic will attempt to give fans one of those spectacular finishes when he makes his first walk to the circle this Friday night, December 2. Roberto Soldic gunning for a win by any means necessary at ONE on Prime Video 5
With a ONE world title opportunity looming large, Roberto Soldic is determined to get his first ONE Championship victory by any means necessary this Friday night. Standing in his way will be undefeated Russian grappler Murad Ramazanov.
With 17 knockouts in 20 career victories, fans expect another epic KO from the former two-division KSW champion. While Soldic would like to give fans something spectacular, the most important thing is leaving Manila with a victory, whether by knockout, submission, or decision:
“Just win. I don't care how. Just submission, points, KO, doesn't matter for me. I just want to win the fight. Be smart, be sharp, be fast. People always expect KOs from me because most of my fights are finished by KO, so I guess – surprise – also submission, I also have good jiu-jitsu. I believe in it, and just to win. I see a good fight.”
