Roberto Soldic believes Zebaztian Kadestam won’t show him anything he hasn’t already seen.
Soldic is scheduled to make his second appearance for ONE Championship on May 5 when the promotion makes its highly anticipated debut in the United States. Meeting him inside the circle at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video is former ONE welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam.
In an interview with the promotion, Soldic shared candid thoughts on his opponent and what he expects from the Swede when they clash inside the cage:
“I know that he won’t give up. He will come to fight, for sure... But it’s nothing new for me, really. I have been in so many bad positions and good positions.”

While ONE Fight Night 10 will technically be Roberto Soldic’s sophomore appearance inside the circle, his debut left a lot to be desired. Scheduled to scrap with undefeated Russian standout Murad Ramazanov at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December, the sadly ended just past the two-minute mark when Ramazanov landed a brutal low blow on Soldic. Unable to continue, the bout was waived off and declared a no-contest.
Zebaztian Kadestam enters the bout riding the moment of back-to-back first-round knockouts against Valmir Da Silva and the late Iuri Lapicus. If he can make it three in a row against Roberto Soldic, ‘The Bandit’ could very well find himself staring down the barrel of a ONE world title opportunity.
Roberto Soldic has eyes on becoming a ONE world champion
With a win over Zebaztian Kadestam at ONE Fight Night 10, Roberto Soldic could very well find himself in line for a ONE world title opportunity.
Though it would only be his first win under the ONE Championship banner, Soldic is currently on an impressive seven-fight win streak dating back to 2018. That would certainly have to be taken into account when considering his worth as a ONE world title contender:
“I want to be a ONE World Champion badly... This is really a big thing for me, and I will try to finish as always.”
Also working in Roberto Soldic’s favor is the likelihood that ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong will introduce an interim ONE welterweight title in the near future with reigning champion Christian Lee on hiatus following the tragic loss of his sister Victoria Lee last year.
No official announcement has been made in that regard, but one can only assume that Soldic will be at the top of the contender's list with a win, one way or another.
