'Robocop' Roberto Soldic was a double world champion in KSW and left it all behind for a shot at gold in ONE Championship. The Croatian southpaw striker explained that he simply wanted a new challenge.
The 27-year-old fighter discussed his philosophy recently when he spoke with The MMA Superfan. Soldic said:
"I have goals, but you know, in KSW, I beat everyone in 77 [kg], and then I got bored. Then one guy from 84, was a former champion too, he came into the gym and then I see his sparring and everything, and I asked my manager, man, if this guy is a champion at 84, what can I do with other guys?"

Roberto Soldic successfully won the KSW welterweight and middleweight world championship titles both by way of KO/TKO. The majority of his career MMA bouts were won via knockout. He is a dangerous striker but has a major challenge ahead of him.
At ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2, 'Robocop' will face undefeated Dagestani wrestler Murad Ramazanov. Soldic will be looking to become the first person to stop Ramazanov. A win will likely set up the Croatian fighter for a shot at reigning ONE welterweight world champion Christian Lee.
ONE on Prime Video 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin will be broadcast live on Friday, December 2, and is free for fans in the United States and Canada with an Amazon Prime subscription.
Roberto Soldic says he will be the hardest fight of Murad Ramazanov's career
While Murad Ramazanov is an undefeated wrestler from Russia, Soldic is not impressed thus far with his career. 'Robocop' explained that his opponent has never faced someone like him.
While speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, Roberto Soldic explained:
“You can see that I never chose an opponent, they pushed me straight away in the fire against a very tough guy. I respect him a lot, 11-0, but I can say that he’s never faced anybody like me. I'm something different. I'm a southpaw, I'm a very dangerous guy, and it's not going to be easy for him.”
Roberto Soldic will be making his debut in ONE Championship against Murad Ramazanov at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2.
