Anticipation is building as ONE 170 draws near, and with it, the much-awaited rematch between Muay Thai bigshots and compatriots Tawanchai and Superbon. As one of the most recognizable faces in Muay Thai, 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon recently offered his take on the upcoming showdown.

In December 2023, the world witnessed reigning ONE featherweight world Muay Thai champion Tawanchai successfully defending his crown from the challenger. Superbon's first attempt to overthrow the champion became a five-round test of endurance that ultimately ended in a unanimous decision.
However, Rodtang believes Superbon's experience and adaptability could win him the belt this time around. Here's what he had to say:

"Superbon has more experience. He could easily perform in impromptu situations. He changes the game in the situation. He knows what puts him in a bad situation and when to strike. He could flow and go with it. That's Superbon."
Rodtang offers his take on what makes Superbon and Tawanchai dangerous fighters ahead of ONE 170 rematch
While unwilling to provide a definitive answer on who he believes will emerge victorious, Rodtang has more to say in his pre-fight analysis:
"Tawanchai is a boxer with brutal weapons and sharp eyesight, and his boxing IQ is high. Superbon is the same. His IQ in boxing is at a master's level. He's the best at adapting his skills on stage. His best move that everyone knows and should watch out for is the neck kicks."
The rematch promises to be a high-stakes encounter between two of the world's most recognizable Muay Thai fighters. Tawanchai will be aiming to reaffirm his status as the division's best, but Superbon, eager to rectify past mistakes, is not to be taken lightly.
Tawanchai and Superbon will be facing off in the main event card of ONE 170, which will take place in the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on January 24th.
