'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon is a Muay Thai phenom, but he will soon be stepping back into the world of kickboxing.
After hundreds of Muay Thai victories and defending his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title in several bouts, the Thai athlete will soon be aiming for kickboxing gold in ONE Championship.
The Muay Thai superstar discussed some of the disadvantages he will have in a kickboxing fight during an interview with ONE Championship. 'The Iron Man' said:
"Of course, I think I'm at a disadvantage against everyone in the division when it comes to kickboxing due to my lack of experience in this sport. But you know, nothing is certain in the circle."

'The Iron Man' has some previous experience in kickboxing. Years ago, a young Rodtang battled kickboxing prodigy Tenshin Nasukawa. The Thai athlete also secured a kickboxing win in ONE Championship when he took a split decision victory over Tagir Khalilov at ONE: Fists of Fury in February 2021.
At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Rodtang will return to kickboxing. On January 13, he will have a match against China's 'The Eagle of Yi' Jiduo Yibu. The fight card will be live and free to watch for North American fans with a Prime Video subscription.

'The Iron Man' feels that he is at a disadvantage in a kickboxing match due to a lack of experience. Regardless, the 25-year-old athlete will still be aiming for a knockout finish on January 13 at Bangkok’s Impact Arena.
The Thai striker told ONE:
"I can’t make a promise. It's about the future. But if you ask me, I will fight with everything I’ve got. I will try my best to knock him out. And I won't underestimate any opponent I face, because I know everyone in ONE is at the elite level."
Rodtang remains the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion and, in 2023, he plans to add kickboxing gold to his name. The Thai warrior's journey begins at ONE Fight Night 6.
